Crater Lake - East Rim - August 2009 Galleries

Crater Lake East Rim Drive : On my way down to Alturas for the "Grand Fiesta" Ranch Roping I swung by Crater Lake. Had not been there since 1964. I came in on the North Entrance and did the East Rim Drive. It was a windy, cold overcast day. By the end of the drive it was starting to rain and as you can see by the last photos it was storming on the West side. Not much traffic were I was but went up to the Rim village and the parking lot was packed. And then it came a downpour. Rained all the way into Klamath Falls. Spent the night at a cousins and she shared with me her photos of Crater Lake just the week before..... quite a difference. The last photos are hers. They took the boat tour .... she took some amazing photos ... hardly any breeze .... an unusual occurrence there.
